Leningrad live in concert at The Theater at Madison Square Garden!
The Madison Square Garden Company, A Entertainment and Metropolitan Entertainment have announced that Russian rock band Leningrad will perform at the Theater at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, October 12 2017 at 8:00PM. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 8:00AM. Tickets will also be available in person on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:00AM at the Madison Square Garden, Beacon Theatre and Radio City Music Hall box offices.
Leningrad’s new live show, “20 Years for Joy,” will celebrate the band’s 20th Anniversary. American audiences will hear Leningrad’s best hits of recent years such as “Obezyana i Orel,” “Exponat,” “Kolshchik,” “V Pitere Pit” and “Ochki Sobchak” live for the first time. Audiences will also have a chance to see the band’s new female singers, Vasilisa Starshova and Florida Chanturia. The anniversary program will not only include the band’s new songs, which are full of optimism and sophisticated irony, but also their tried-and-true hits. Sergey Shnurov, the band’s front man, was also named one of the top three leaders by Russian Forbes in 2016.
Leningrad’s relationship with leading Russian music video makers led to a number of astounding music videos. The music videos for songs such as “ZOZH,” “V Pitere Pit,” “Ochki Sobchak,” “Kolshchik” and the legendary “Exponat” received tens of millions of views in record time after being released.
